A Nashville man who beat his girlfriend’s pet pig after the woman kicked him out of the house pleaded guilty to misdemeanor animal cruelty this morning.

Carl Houston pleaded guilty to aggravated animal cruelty for beating the animal, which goes by the name of “Bacon Bit,” on November 2006.

In exchange for pleading guilty to the lesser charge, Houston, 39, agreed with prosecutors to serve 11 months and 29 days probation, ordered to perform 20 hours community service and attend anger management.

He is also required to stay away from his ex-girlfriend and Bacon Bit, Davidson County District Attorney General Spokeswoman, Susan Niland said.

HELSINKI — The luxury unit of Nokia has started selling a phone designed jointly with Ferrari for about 18,000 euros ($25,400) at its stores in London, Paris, Hong Kong and Singapore, it said on Thursday.

The Vertu unit produced the Ascent Ferrari 1947 phone to celebrate Ferrari’s 60th anniversary.

“We worked very closely to develop this limited edition of 60 phones. Detailing on the phone is inspired by detailing on a number of Ferrari cars,” said Vertu spokeswoman Elizabeth Maragh. Read the rest of this entry »

I had another dream about you last night. I have dreamed of you for years and years, always wondering why we never dated. This dream was different it was current it was now. I know this because my son was with us, always before my dreams were in the past dreaming about what could have been. For some reason this dream was the present or future about what could be. I wonder about you all the time, one of my two big regrets never dating you and not going finishing college. I wonder where you live now, are you still married, do you have kids?  I Google your name every year or so but nothing ever comes up. Sometimes your twin sisters name does. I heard that you live in out outside of Seattle. Thats is now not far from me, I live in Las Vegas, maybe one day we will meet again. For now you live in my thoughts and my past.  I still miss you.
